Welcome to the official website for Joseph L. Faraldi, Sr. As a bassist, guitarist and song writer, I have had the privilidge of working with some of the most talented and innovative musicians across a wide range of music styles including funk, classic and alternative rock, gospel and contemporary Christian music. I believe that notes are simply the mechanical parts of the music. The musician is the factor that determines the value of those notes, much like the relationship between the driver and the race car. The car cannot offer real value unless it is driven to perform up to it's ultimate limits. This is how I approach my playing. I love the challenge of applying one of my specific styles to the needs of the music. Certain styles require the utmost subtlety while others ask for massive support and leadership. UPDATES: Recently launched a new music project. A Christian rock group called TripleShift (www.tripleshift.com). This is a very exciting venture because of the people involved and their overall motivation for participating. In June, after a rehearsal session for Indian Creek Community Church Worship Team, led by Lester Estelle, Sr., I approachd drummer Sean Devins and guitarist Earl Steeley about their take on putting a group together for the goal of recording and touring the mid west. Originally, I was planning on playing bass for the group. However, our original discussions with a fantastic female vocalist that all of us have worked with prior turned out not as planned. So, we decided that I would take lead vocals. We then approacheda friend, Darrell Williams, to take over the bass rolw. The Lord works wonders in that Darrell was a perfect fit for our style and was actually looking for a group opportunity. We've put together a handful of songs and are very pleased with where this is going. We will be tapping into the expertise of Warren Jurgens and his studio to put our initial songs together. Stay tuned. |
